Welcome to Cropo Funeral Chapel
Facts about Funerals and COVID-19
As of 09/28/2020
Cropo Funeral Chapel prioritizes the health and well-being of our staff and guests. We understand this is a fluid situation and are monitoring and evaluating developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
We still believe that gathering and supporting one another at a time of loss is important. Together with families, We will abide by the Province of Manitoba’s restrictions on public gathering groups of 5 or less people with outdoor gatherings of 5 as well. We can accommodate service gatherings of 5 total in Sir. Thomas Chapel with Live stream available. Masks will be required in all public spaces. All services currently scheduled will proceed, unless a family requests to reschedule or cancel. However, the majority of our funerals are smaller gatherings than this and we anticipate that attendance at services will decrease due to public awareness regarding the pandemic. We ask those at risk or those not feeling well to stay home. We encourage the community to reach out to each family via their Tribute Page on cropo.com. If you are attending services, please follow the Public Health Agency of Canada regulations below.
We encourage you to follow the PHAC recommendations to take the usual steps to help prevent the spread of illness:
· Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
· Cover your coughs and sneezes with your arm or inner elbow
· Avoid close contact with sick people
· Stay home when you are sick or not feeling well
At Cropo Funeral Chapel we can offer video a recording of the service that can be available publicly or privately. Ask about a live stream option as well.
In addition to communicating best health and safety practices to our staff and guests, Cropo has implemented enhanced cleaning throughout our locations:
· Staff have been reminded of and encouraged to use good hand hygiene and cough etiquette habits
· Heightened daily disinfection practices for high-touch surfaces

Testimonials:
The staff were so compassionate, down-to-earth, and responsive to any of our requests…we were confident that we did not have to worry about any of the details and could instead focus on the spiritual and emotional aspects of honouring our father. To a person, the staff did an exemplary job of supporting our family and easing our burden. Llwellyn
My family's professional relationship with Cropo goes back over 30 years to my baba's funeral services in 1980. I have very specific memories of some components - mostly centred at Cropo's and their services for this was my first funeral. Since that time, every family funeral has had professional services provided by Cropo. Most recently, when my father died, Cropo was of course our funeral home of choice. The services provided by the management and staff of Cropo today echo the strong tradition of excellent service from over 30 years ago. The whole team at Cropo provided amazing service from the first meeting, to the funeral, to the luncheon, to the driving -real people providing real help when you need it.
