OLANREWAJU OLUSEGUN AKINOLA
Olanrewaju passed away on July 15, 2024 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 73.
He was predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Oladipo and Oluremi Akinola.
Olanrewaju is lovingly remembered by his wives*(mothers of his children) – Iyabo Akinola, Adekunbi Akinola, Nike Akinola, his children Ayoola, Yetunde, Ayodele, Olabisi, Olufunke, Gbenga, Ibukun, and Tobiloba. He also leaves his numerous brothers and sisters, nieces, and nephews, as well as nine grandchildren.
He was born in Ibadan, Oyo State of Nigeria. He worked for many years in Nigeria and in Canada. Olanrewaju enjoyed politics, hanging out with his friends, and really enjoyed watching soccer as well. He was a giver and enjoyed helping people in difficult situations, even at his own detriment.
The family especially thanks the medical team at Victoria Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital, all his friends, his church Pastors - Akin and Deborah Olukoju, Immanuel Fellowship members and his associates.
A prayer vigil will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Immanuel Fellowship Church, 479 St. Mary Road from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Funeral service to follow on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, with Rev. Dr. Sunday Olukoju presiding. Interment will follow at St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Road.
