Nothing prepares You for losing a Parent . Please accept Our heartfelt condolences for the loss of Your Mama, Tesciowa , Babcia, Pra-Babcia as well as Ciocia to some of Us . Her kindness , sweetness and Love will be missed.
I would like to share memories of my Ciocia ; She was hard working , with such a Love and Devotion of her family and extended family .She never stopped caring for Us all, even after a long day at work , with a home - cooked meal, then made all of our lunches . With her spare time , she would take care of a garden , so we would be eating the healthiest food . This was just one of the many things she did.
She always made sure , We girls , were well -dressed and Our home was impeccably clean - ready for any guest to stop by . She never faltered to Welcome everyone to Her home , whether for an hour or a week , with a beautifully cooked meal . Her baking was legendary . She made sure everyone , young and old was always well taken care of at her home . Her gracious hospitality was a standard set for us all .
My Ciocia was gentle , calm and nurturing , especially with her love of children . Not only with myself as a small child , but continuing with my children , her grand and great- grand children . Her Devotion to family is a direct reflection in my Cousins ; Alice and Eva , and their beautiful , loving families . Her soul lives on in them.
My Ciocia Irka’s Memory will always be cherished and loved by Us .
