DJORDJE KRSTIC

April 23, 1948 – February 21, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and with his family by his side, Djordje passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the age of 74.

He left behind his partner Erlinda; son, Aleksandar (Antonietta); daughter, Jasmina (William); grandchildren, Gabriella, Maja, Gavin and Isabella.

Djordje was born in Uševce, Serbia on April 23, 1948. He came to Canada in 1974. He worked various construction jobs for a few years, where he eventually began his career at Motor Coach Industries for 30 plus years.

Djordje was an active member of the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church and volunteer at the Serbian pavilion at Folklorama.

He was a hard worker and jack-of-all-trades, but the one thing that brought him joy was his grandchildren.

Prayers will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 580 Talbot Avenue with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
