Gerry was a great guy. He always spoke of his family. He was my new flyer representative and when he came to Philly we always had a great conversations. Even when I retired he came to my retirement party and would still email me on my birthday. He will be greatly missed as he was an outstanding person. My heartfelt condolences to his family

Our sincere condolences go out to Shereen, Bobby, David and their familys. Still hard to believe that Gerald has left us. I was looking forward to our birthday dinner that we had discussed sharing once the covid restrictions allowed it. Will miss the big guy. Rest in peace cousin.

Started working with Gerry at New Flyer in 1999. I recall we use to all have lunch together when our group was a lot smaller. Back then there use to be a pizza truck that would come to our office once a week, I joined in buying a small pizza and could only eat a few slices, Gerry would look over and say “you gonna finish the rest” I never could and so it began that he would finish the pie for me. We travelled together for work a few times and recall he loved to go shopping, which suited me just fine. To the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you and know that there are so many wonderful memories that will help get you through the difficult days. RIP my friend

I met Gerry in 2013 after starting work at New Flyer Parts. We shared a table at the first Christmas party I attended. Since then we have had lunch together almost every day in the lunchroom. We talked about anything and everything. His recent trips were a favourite topic. Plus talking about his grandson playing hockey. He was so proud. I am very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences to Shereen and family.

Shereen, David and family, I worked with Gerry the last 21 years and had the chance to spend some time with David when he traveled with Gerry and I to Minneapolis. Things that I'll remember about your Dad, was how much he loved you all, loved to shop, the way he could launch a cue ball on a pool table, but most of all how much he enjoyed eating. Went to the Stage Deli with him once in New York City and watched him devour a "Dolly Parton" which was 2 huge sandwiches. I'll remember his smile, his calm demeanor, and his sense of humor. I hope when the pain of your loss subsides you can remember the good times you had, and the memories will bring you peace. I'm so sorry for your loss and I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Jim Wacker
