Obituary of DONALD (DON) CONSTANTINE PENSACK

DONALD (DON) CONSTANTINE PENSACK February 14, 1943- February 23, 2016 Peacefully on Tuesday February 23, 2016, Donald passed away in his home at age 73. Don will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Kathy, his children Tanya Levy and her husband Adam, and Greg Pensack along with his wife Carla and their children Liam and Reid, and his dear brother Kenneth Pensack. He was predeceased by his father, Constantine (Jack) Pensack, and his mother, Stephanie Pensack (nee Trupish). Donald will be remembered for his service to the Manitoba Government and Commissionaires, his contributions to Winnipeg’s Ukrainian Community, and as a great friend and family man. His friends will remember how much he enjoyed entertaining crowds at home with his music and his sharp sense of humour that he maintained until his last day. His family and closest friends will remember how he always made them a priority. He was in frequent contact with his brother Ken who spent most of his adult life in Vancouver. Donald held dear his childhood memories and his more recent memories of their visits and travels together. Don loved spending time with his family at home and taking us to familiar places like the zoo, the Red River Ex, and taking the drive up to Rusalka Beach near Gimli. At home he enjoyed cooking, doing odd jobs around the house, and offering advice and opinions to help guide our choices. He created a rich tapestry of memories in his quiet and unassuming way. Donald died the way he lived, with dignity and grace. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel.
