Alex will be truly missed, I just would like to say we saw more of each other when we where kids, him and his Dad (Uncle Alec) would come out on weekends and we would spend time hunting rabbits, squirrels and whatever we could in those days, as we got older and I think Alex would agree , we regretfully didn't spend as much time together, our lives went in different directions, but when I met Carman and Alex just a few short months ago in the restaurant, and Alex and I started emailing and texting again, it was great and good to see them and looked forward to renewing our cousin hood again, but now we'll have to wait until we meet again on heaven's floor, where Alex will be dancing up a storm, till we meet again Alex !!

It is with deep sorrow that I express my condolences to the Ledarney Family.
I am angry at myself because I had no idea
I grew up with Alex back in the day. Gladstone elementary school.
He was a good friend to have growing up.
I had the opportunity to reunite with Alex later in the years.
I believe we were in our mid teens. He was already working out and I have to say, he was huge! At that time he told me his dreams were to compete. I had no doubt in my mind that he would make it to the top.
RIP my friend. You will be missed.

I lived next door to Alex on McMillan ave when we were children. His backyard tree was great fun and always a challenge. He and Colin had to let me play ball hockey with them because it was my net! I am shocked to hear the news and I am very sorry for your loss. My condolences to the family.

Rest in Peace Alex, you were a good friend back in the 80's and I occassionally still look at the picture of you passing on the 1986 Mr. Manitoba trophy to me. From the day we met at the "fit stop" you were a likeable guy and I never heard you say a bad word against anyone. Although our friendship was through the bodybuilding I know you were one hell of a good man. To your family I send my deepest condolences. Till we meet again.
