Klaus was my Biochemistry lab instructor the last year of his career. I remember him as a man who pushed his students to perform well but was always ready with a kind smile or an amusing story. I can still remember the story he told about why smoking had been banned in U of W chemistry labs.
His memory lives on in his students and remembering him today is what brought me to this page where I was saddened to learn of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.
