MARIA ISABEL BENEVIDES

Maria Isabel Benevides passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 10, 2024 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 75.

She was predeceased by her mother, father, and brother.

Isabel is lovingly remembered by her husband, Manuel, children, Emanuel (Laura), and Nelson (Anabela), grandchildren, Samantha, Gabriel, Abbygail, and Tiago. She also leaves her brother, Joao (Ormenia) and sister, Elvira (Joao), and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Born and raised in San Miguel Azores, Isabel immigrated to Canada in 1975. Isabel worked for the Maples Personal Care Home for 27 years. Her hobbies included, sewing, gardening, cooking and baking. She was a proud Catholic, devoted spouse, and a caring grandmother.

The family especially thanks the Grace Hospital Palliative Care staff and doctors.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street N. with Fr. Andre Lico, with viewing taking place at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in the Holy Angel Mausoleum at Green Acres Cemetery, 1 Green Acres Lane, Navin, MB.
