Obituary of EDWARD (EDDY) HURRIE

Eddy was born in Rembrandt, Manitoba on June 1, 1949 to William and Annie Hurrie. He was raised in Rembrandt and attended school in nearby Arborg. Eddy was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He worked for many years selling auto parts, fixing cars and delivering flyers. Eddy was a social character who enjoyed sharing stories of his many adventures such as the time he outran a forest fire or when he had a close encounter with a bear. He enjoyed hunting and camping trips to Pine Dock, gambling at the casino, and playing the lotto/ bingo. Eddy was of Ukrainian heritage and at his most content when he had a ring of kielbasa or a plate of perogies.
Eddy was predeceased by his wife Sherrie, his parents William and Annie, and his sister Irene.
Eddy is survived by his children Laura (David) Glasgow, Mark Hurrie, his brothers George (Christine), Nicky (Bernice), Bobby and sisters Jean, Rosie (Wayne), nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and his devoted cat McAllister
