Obituary of ADELINE SAPIELO
Adeline (Adele) Sapielo passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 29, 2024 at Grace Hospice, at the age of 89 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Steve and Sophie Dudar, parents-in-law Walter and Vera Sapielo, sister and brother-in-law Stella and Richard Dec and great niece Ashley Dec.
Adele is survived by her husband William (Bill) of 59 years of which they were able to celebrate on October 9, 2024. She also is survived by her sister, Alice (Walter) Hucal; sister-in-law, Josie (Chester) Dec; nephews, Danny (Charlene) Hucal, James Hucal, David (Carol) Dec, Kevin (Doreen) Dec, Ronald (Joanne) Dec, Brian (Genevieve) Dec; nieces, Joan (Brian) Buchel, Roseanne Hucal and Valerie Sherbonivich; great nephews Colin Dec, Joey, Jamie and Richard Dec, Brandon and Michael Dec; great nieces Natasha Hucal and Alison Dec.
Adele was born and raised in the Ethelbert area. After completing school, she moved to Toronto and started her career with Bell Canada. Toronto is where she met the love of her life and soulmate Bill. They made Winnipeg their home for 57 years. Adele had a great sense of humour and always loved a great conversation.
The Family thanks the nurses and student nurse Souzan for their loving care given to Adele for her final stay at the Grace Hospice.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:30 a.m. at St. John XXlll Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue with Father Robert Polz presiding. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum 3990 Portage Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either Grace FDN (Hospice) or St. John XXlll Parish Building Fund.
