MARY KOSTEREWA Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Kosterewa on October 27, 2024, at the remarkable age of 101.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Bill, parents Katherine and John Melnyk, her stepfather Alex Pryzlak and brother Lawrence. She is survived by her sister-in-law Joan, nephew James, niece Karen (Roger), great nephews Ryan and Brett and great niece Madelyn, whom she all loved dearly.

Mary was known for her generous heart and gentle soul, always concerned about the well being of her family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, going to her cottage and spending time playing cards and bingo with friends. She was a life member of St. Nicholas Church and belonged to the choir for many years.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 2, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave with interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Nicholas Church or Holy Family Nursing Home.
