It has been many years since I last spoke to Marvin, but my love for him never ended. His boisterous laugh and big smile, was forever cherished in my memory. Marvin was a kind, smart, and an amazing businessman, and I have always credited him for giving me the business sense I have to this day. His love for me was grand and the love he had for his daughter was far greater, I always admired him for the love he had for his daughters and to me that made him one of the greatest men of all time. Even though we did last the test of time, he will always be held dear to my heart, and I want him to know my love for him was real and never ended. May his souls rest in peace and may the lord comfort his family and friends during their time of mourning. Marvin Clayton Smith, I never forgot and will continue to remember you. Forever your Nattydread

Aunty Mrytle. Steve, Larry, Wayne, Boris, Estan, Marvin's daughters, and the rest of the family, my condolences. Marvin, I have no words. We had good times growing up with Miss Tun and when we met in Jamaica or Canada. This year, when we met at your mother's party and did the funny faces selfies, who knows, it was the last time we would have fun together. I am happy that you're not suffering anymore. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
Amen.
Love you until we meet again. Debbie

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."- (Eccl.12: 1-7)
To aunty Myrtle (Joyce) and the entire family; my family and I would like to express our deepest condolences to each of you. As one family , together united in grief we hug and hold each other close who are most dearest to us in heart spirit and mind.
To my beloved cousin Marvin although you are gone and our hearts are filled with pain and sadness and we will never see again : it was such a great and wonderful pleasure spending the few days together I came up to Winnipeg to help celebrate and give your mother flowers while she is still alive. You were suffering but one could never tell, what a brave and courageous person you were..so full of life like a flower in bloom. listening to you as you spoke about your ordeal and as a clinical nurse who understood it all and knowing how hard it must be for you, I could not help but swat a tear or two that had rolled onto my cheeks ; my heart was breaking . I lectured you on your care as best , we laughed we hugged and partied dancing the night away and wishing your mom longevity to many more wonderful birthdays even when you had invited me to another plate of the delicious delicacies served it was as if there was no tomorrow - what fun we had never knowing it would have been our last merriment of not seeing each other again. And In your own time without worrying anyone you went your way... Sleep on my dearest cousin Vinny you are free now .... your memories forever in my heart till we meet again . Your cousin Donna and the family

"There is no grief like the grief that does not speak.
My sincere and deepest condolences extended to the entire family of my dearest and beloved cousin Marvin: Aunty Myrtle (Gramma Joyce) "the Pillar and the Rock" , his brothers , his children Tashika and siblings, the nieces and nephews , aunt and uncle and to all the cousins and extended families who all were like mother, sisters , brothers and friends to Marvin
Marvin's kindness to me and my kids was unmeasured and cannot be quantified. His infectious laughter and jovial spirit ...never ever was there a dull moment shared between us in person or over the telephone lines (thank God there's no charge for nationwide calling ) even after all those years I still could not understand the Baseball game he would call me to watch or when we betted on a Game or two of Sunday Football or Basketball and his team would win and he'd tell me to FedEx /UPS couriered his cheque to him or I would phone call on a Saturday he was at his store ..the day he called to let me know he would be a grandfather and the erupted laughter that came from him ... His burden was heavily laden but never once a whisper or a murmur from his lips came forth.. he was in acceptance ....the Two weeks in between I did not call was when he chose to go his ways alone ..... Through the midst of our grief and sorrow together as family we are united as one we laughed and we cried then laughed and cried all over again extending a hug and words of comfort to each other ....
Farewell and Adieu Marvin my Dearest and Beloved cuzi Cuz May your spirit like the wings of eagles soar and your soul rest in perpetuity.
Your fondest memories like monuments will forever be etched deep in our hearts your loving cuzzies
