Obituary of EVELYN LOUISE HOBAN

Evelyn Hoban (Sweet)

Evelyn passed away August 6, 2024 at Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 92.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence and her beloved daughter Brenda. 

Evelyn is survived by her son John (Carol) and her five grandchildren: Tyler, Suzanne, Jacqueline, Jill, and Bruce, along with their families. 

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Evelyn met and married her beloved Lawrence and spent the majority of her life in Brooklands. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, laughing and telling stories. She loved a good joke and a tense game of bingo. 

Many thanks to the staff at Maples Personal Care Home who have been so good to Evelyn for the last 18 months. The care and compassion you showed her will always be remembered.

If friends so desire, donations can be made, in Evelyn’s memory, to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Crematin has taken place and to honour Evelyn’s wishes, no service will be held.
