Obituary of SHARON DYCK
SHARON (THE BOO) LYNN DYCK
nee(Bereza)
January 26 1956 - April 6 2013
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Wife, Sister and Friend. Sharon passed away at the age of 56. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are, her husband Mika Nurminen, her brother Barry Bereza, her daughter Amanda (Munchie) Dyck and son Rick (Buckie) Dyck. Also her very beloved kitties, Felix, The Boo, Ommie and Kitty. Also the closest thing she had to the grandchild she wanted so bad who she affectionately called her grandson, Ricks dog Jet.
Our mom had the most brilliant blue eyes, fierce red hair and beautiful sparkly nails. She had a love for world issues and always wanted to know what was going on. Her kindness and love for others was reflected in her desire to be a lawyer to help others and in her expressions of always wanting the best for the world. She was very intelligent and had a vast knowledge of many things. She was very creative in her love for photography and designing her home and garden. Our Mom was an emotional woman who wore her heart on her sleeve and she always knew what she wanted. She loved music and dancing (dirty dancing) and going to concerts, especially Pink Floyd. Our Sharon definitely danced to her own beat. She adored summer and spending time in her yard very much.
Sharon could always be relied upon in the worst of times, no matter what.
Even in great sickness her strong and remarkable character shined through. She had amazing resiliency and proved she was the strongest and bravest woman we have ever known. Her sense of humour and quirky style was famous and unlike any other. Her cuteness melts our hearts.
We know she is at peace now, but certainly not resting. We are sure she is having a blast with her Mom, Dad and Dog Snuffy, wherever they are.
Mom, We will be talking to you every day and we love you and miss you so very much. You will be forever in our hearts.
We would like to thank all the wonderful Nurses and Dr's on 7A south at the St. Boniface Hospital. Sharon considered you friends. Also a very special thank you to Dr. Sasha and all his staff at Osborne Chiropractic for their care and support. We are also very thankful for the love and support of all our family and friends throughout the difficult times.
Sharon will be cremated, and her ashes to be spread off the coast of Kona, Hawaii. Where she will be joining her late mother (Harry) and grandmother (Marge). They will be riding the dolphins together.
There will be a drop in celebration of life memorial on Sunday, April 21st between 1-6 at the family home in Fort Rouge where she lived most of her life. There is a Facebook page in her honor. We encourage friends and family to share pictures and memories. Any inquiries can also be answered there. To find the Facebook page, search Sharon Lynn Dyck and add her as a friend.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in her name for a CancerCare Manitoba event that means a lot to the family.
