Obituary of COLLEEN MARGARET FLETT

COLLEEN MARGARET FLETT
October 24, 1960 – May 14, 2021

It is with deep regret and sorrow that we announce on the early morning of May 14th, 2021, Colleen took her last breath.

Colleen is survived by her parents Margaret and Steve Stevenson, her companion and best friend Shane Middlemass, her only son, Shawn (Gina), his children, Jayden, Tyrell, Donovan, Shawn Junior, and Tahya, Gianna.

She’s Also survived by her siblings, brothers, Kelson (Jacqui), Neil, sister, Victoria and nieces Ashley, Aurora, and nephews Steven, Ashton, and Goddaughter Lisa.

Roderick and Marguerite Flett raised her along with several other cousins, Diane, Linda, David, Larry, Jerry, Wayne, Gloria, Gail, and Billy whom she all considered her siblings.

She also leaves to mourn her extended family members, the Lagimodiere’s, Stevenson’s, and Thompson families, as-well as numerous Flett family members in British Columbia.

After graduating high school, she had several positions within the City of Winnipeg – in the Land Dept., as well, as a Social Worker in the Social Services Dept. for more than 16 years.

After leaving her position in Winnipeg, Manitoba she then found her new home and companion in Red Deer, Alberta, where she resided and made many friends and coworkers, too many to mention.

Colleen was predeceased by her Grandparents, many uncles and aunts and her oldest granddaughter Harmony Okemow.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:30 am at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue.
