Obituary of LASZLO SITAS
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laszlo Sitas on July 15, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Laszlo was born on August 15, 1955, in Ecka, Yugoslavia. He grew up in the Weston area of Winnipeg, where he attended Cecil Rhodes Elementary School and graduated from Tec Voc High School, excelling in basketball.
After graduation, Laszlo entered the trucking industry, where he worked for many years. He spent his later working years employed by his close friend, John Eichel, before retiring.
Laszlo had a passion for movies and a knack for telling a good joke. His unforgettable laugh will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his mother, Rozalia Gina Vicovac, in 2023.
Laszlo is survived by his siblings Frank and Joe Sitas, Ida Millar, Dule and Zoran Vicovac.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
Laszlo will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
