CURTIS ALEX DERKACH

April 9 1960 – July 12 2024

With heavy hearts and a 3 year battle with cancer, we announce that Curtis Derkach passed away on July 12, 2024 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at St. Boniface hospital at the age of 64.

He is survived by his partner of 18 years Winifred; his daughter Crystal Brooks; grandchildren Aliyah and Caden, sons Ryan and Cory Derkach; siblings; Glen (Beatrice) Veronica (Tim) His niece Ashley and great nephew David-James, Nephews Shayne, Isaac, Glen Jr. and Joshua. His friend Chuck and many other friends and family

Curtis was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Peter, Brothers Kenny, Gerry and Micheal

Curtis was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lived an extraordinary life. He was always the life of the party and would make everyone laugh and smile. You always knew when Curtis was in a room by his loud and welcoming voice. Curtis was always there for friends and family that needed him and was the type of guy to give you the shirt of his back if you needed it. Curtis always stood up for family and was a devoted a loyal man. Curtis was very happy to reconnect with his daughter Crystal who he got to know near the end of his life and his grandchildren Aliyah and Caden. He loved them dearly; they brought him so much joy and love. Curtis was very close with his niece Ashley.

In Accordance with their wishes, cremation/burial has taken place and no formal service will be held
