Obituary of WLADYSLAW SWARZYNSKI
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wladyslaw Swarzynski on June 25, 2024. Wladyslaw passed away at the age of 83 at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by his family.
Wladyslaw was predeceased by his parents Apolinary and Kamila Swarzynski, in-laws Jozef and Anna Dawiskiba, sister Irena, brother Stanislaw and brothers-in-law Piotr Bothor and John Lazar.
Left to mourn his loss is his devoted and loving wife of 60 years, Jozefa, son Jan and his wife Karen and their children Claudia (Jordan), Noah (Desirae), Isaiah (Gabrielle), Jesse and Mira, as well as his son Sebastian, his fiancé Lydia and their daughter Nevaeh. Also mourning his loss is his extended family in both Poland and Canada, as well as many friends.
Wladyslaw was born on January 12, 1941 in Swidniki Poland. In September 1981, Wladyslaw, Jozefa and their young sons came to Canada to embark on a new adventure of providing a better future for their children.
Wladyslaw worked for Motor Coach Industries where he was a dedicated and hard-working employee. After 25 years, he retired in 2006.
Wladyslaw was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will forever be missed. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and gentle spirit. He could be called upon if you needed help, advice, or just to talk. He enjoyed and looked forward to family gathering and holidays with his family. He also enjoyed watching hockey and soccer, gardening and fixing all sorts of things. Most of all, he deeply loved his 6 grandchildren and having the privilege of watching them grow into wonderful people. In his retirement and better health, Wladyslaw and Jozefa enjoyed many happy years camping, fishing and boating with family and friends in what became one of their favorite places, Dorothy Lake in the Whiteshell.
Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Avenue, with Rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
