Obituary of JAMES WAYNE BURNSIDE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Wayne Burnside. He passed on June 8, 2024, at the age of 82 years.

Wayne was born on November 17, 1941, in Neepawa, Manitoba to parents Bernice and Ernie Burnside.

After a long courageous battle with cancer, he leaves to mourn his daughters Lisa (Ray) and Sandra (Dave). He also leaves his grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Donna (Bernard) and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife Karen in 2023 just shy of their 60th wedding anniversary. He was also predeceased by his brother Delmar and daughter Beverly.

Wayne retired from his career as an air traffic controller in 1996 after 30 years of service.

The family would like to thank Dad’s cancer team for the exceptional care he received.
