Obituary of HILDEGARD GRIGAT

     Hildegard was born in Stanislavowka, Wolynia, Poland near Luck on September 28th 1935 to Parents Albert Ernest and Emilie Pfahl. The family which then included her sisters, Lilly, Linda, Christel, Helma and Margerete were displaced from Poland during WW2.  The family journeyed to Southern Germany in the Stuttgart area. They lived there for 6 years. It was during this time that brother Siegfried was added to the Pfahl Family.  October 9th 1951 the Pfahl family moved to Waldersee, Manitoba. The Hoehn family (relatives from Emilie Pfahl’s side) sponsored the family move.

     Hildegard is predeceased by her parents Albert and Emilie Pfahl, her sisters Linda, Christel, Margerete, and Lilly.  1st Husband Steven, her 1st daughter Marion, her 2nd daughter Marion Joanne, and 2nd Husband Joe.

     Hildergard leaves behind her daughter Susan (John). Her grandchildren Charmaine (Trevor) and James (Cassandra). Her great grandchildren Emilie, Cassie, Wyatt and Waylon. Her sister Helma and her brother Sig (Mary). She is survived by many nieces and nephews of whom she loved all.

     Hildegard loved camping, to crochet, cooking, attending Church…and “loved” seeing her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.  She loved her Kentucky Fried Chicken, Whistle Dogs, perogies and potato Latke.

    Hildergard had forged a number of friendships over the years: Renate, Irene, Verna, Gisela and Resi Dux.

Hildegard peacefully passed away June 3rd, 2024, at the age of 88. Cremation has taken place; interment will follow at a later date.
