MARK PACZYNSKI

Obituary of MARK BERNARD PACZYNSKI

Mark Bernard Paczynski passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024 at St. Boniface Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57 years.

He was predeceased by his mother Anna, brothers Kasmier and Joe and sister Elizabeth. Mark is lovingly remembered by his sisters Barbara (Craig), Diana (Cliff); niece Jessica (Anthony); nephews Adam (Kacie), Tyler (Ashley), Glen (Marley), Derek (Kaila); great-niece Alexay and great-nephews Louie and Kirk. Mark will also be lovingly remembered by countless close friends made throughout his life who reside in Winnipeg and throughout Canada and the USA.

Mark was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. He attended school in Transcona and graduated from Transcona Collegiate. Over the years, Mark was employed in various jobs, and in recent years he found his passion in volunteering, spending time at Park Manor Care Home, Deer Lodge Centre and most recently at Winnipeg Harvest where he made some lasting friendships. Mark faced many challenges in life, but was able to overcome them and remain a positive force in his friends and families’ lives. There was rarely a time where Mark wouldn't be ready to crack a joke or try to make you smile. He was always there to listen and would do anything he could to brighten up your day. Mark became a fan of his beloved New York Islanders at a very young age, and continued that fandom with unwavering passion, throughout his entire life. Mark was also a huge Bombers fan, and loved to attend games, watch them on TV or listen to them on CJOB. Mark really enjoyed taking trips to the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota either with friends or his nephew Adam. Over the years, and in true Mark fashion, he made many long-lasting friendships there. Over and above all, Mark had a true love for his family. Nothing made him happier than a holiday celebration, or an impromptu Sunday dinner where he was surrounded by his loved ones. Mark was a special person who brought great joy and love to all.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

The family especially thanks the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at St Boniface Hospital - Unit 5E for the compassionate care they provided Mark in his final days.
