Donald Earl Filipchuk passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 at Health Sciences Center, at the age of 79 years.

He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Katherine.

Don is lovingly remembered by his wife, Patty; son, Shaun (Shayna) of Garson, MB; grandchildren, Lucas and Jackson.

He also leaves his sister Deb Filipchuk; nieces, Sheryl and Laura and nephews, Chris, Dean, Johnathan and Kristopher; as well as extended family.

Don was born and raised in a farm outside of Yorkton, SK. He met and married Patty while working at Fred Douglas Lodge. Worked for many years at Travel Lodge. His hobbies included metal detecting, scuba diving, swimming, reading, spending time with his family especially his grandsons.

The family especially thanks the health care workers at HSC on GH7 for their care and compassion.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with family.
