MARIA PINDERA

Obituary of MARIA PINDERA

      MARIA PINDERA
          July 11, 1930 – May 4, 2024

With heavy hearts the family of Maria Pindera announce the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother (Babcia) at Seven Oaks Hospital.

Mom was pre-deceased by her husband Wladyslaw, her parents, sister, and two brothers in Poland.

Mom is survived by her children Bogusia/Bonnie (Frank), Zdzis/Jeff, Andrew (Mary Jayne), and her grandchildren: Angela (Louie), Jeanette, James (Jhen), Marianne (Jason), Emma (Jacob), Madeline and nine great grandchildren.

Maria immigrated to Canada from Poland with Wladyslaw in 1959 to pursue a better life for her family.  She worked as a seamstress in many sewing factories and retired to become a caregiver for our dear father.

As our family grew, Mom opened up her home to all of us on many occasions so we could celebrate together: birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and Easter.  This made us a very close-knit family.

Mom was a very devoted parishioner of St. John Cantius Church for over 65 years, thereby instilling Christian values within all of us.

Mom has left a major impression in all of our lives and has given us many wonderful memories to cherish.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful Home Care and Hospital staff who cared for her throughout her long courageous struggle.

We love you Mom and will always keep you close to our hearts.

Viewing on May 11 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Ave. by Rev. Fr. Henryk Laciak.  Interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main St.
