Obituary of FRANCISCO MANUEL CABRAL GARCIA
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisco Manuel Cabral Garcia on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the age of 77.
He was predeceased by his parents Jose and Silvina Garcia, sisters Gloria, Elidia and brother Jose.
Francisco is lovingly remembered by his wife Zelia Garcia, their children Nelson (Sarah), Lina, Cathy (Tomasz) and his grandchildren Sammy, Dominique, Demetri, Niko, Tahlia and Sebastian.
He also leaves to mourn his brother Antonio and sister-in-law Eduarda Garcia in Winnipeg, sister Maria de Lourdes in Terceira and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Francisco was born in Sao Miguel Azores, Portugal. As a handsome young man in Portugal, he had been in the army. Francisco was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A hard-working individual who spent many years working for Rakowski Cartage and Wrecking Ltd which he loved and spoke of daily.
Our dad and vovo leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and a life well lived. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace now. You will be forever loved and forever missed.
Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street North. Funeral Liturgy will be on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue
