I grew up with Brian when his family lived across the lane from my family in the 'east end' of Transcona. We played many nights of cops and robbers, along with his little brothers and the other neighbourhood kids. In the winter we had the occasional hockey game in the back lane and did daredevil riding of toboggans while standing and sliding down the snow slide my dad built every year over our garden. Brian was always a good friend and I only have good memories of those times. Later when my son was growing up we crossed paths again when we both ended up living in the 'west end' of Transcona. He was a good friend and although our paths in life lead us in different directions Brian has left me with great memories to hold on to still to this day. He was a good friend.

I’m so sorry guys. I read his obituary to my kids and told them about what a great man he was. There were lots of parents who were just a friend’s parent. Brian wasn’t. He was awesome. Someone I enjoyed drinking a beer with even as young fella. Give Jan a hug for me.

I worked with Brian for over two decades at Flyer, walked the picket line with him & shared all sorts of laughs with him.
Brian was easy to get along with and liked and appreciated by all that worked along side of him. He was a happy guy & always tried to help others & always genuine. There are people you miss when they retire and Brian was definitely one of the nicest people to work with and to know. I’m so sorry for your families loss. We are all better off for having shared time with him.
