DONNA LYNN FEDUNIW

(nee LISOWICK)

September 1, 1959 – February 24, 2024

Donna Lynn Feduniw passed away peacefully with family by her side. Predeceased by her parents Leo and Tillie Lisowick, Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband Tim, their (her) dog Sam, children Lindsay (Dale), Christopher (Lesley), Ashley (Olivier), granddaughters Isabell, Kataleya, Amalia and Marta. She also leaves behind her brother Len (Patty) and nephews Micheal and Jordan.

Donna was born and raised in North End Winnipeg where she first met her husband Tim through music lessons at Komar’s. Raising their children in Manitoba, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, the family returned to Winnipeg in 2003 re-establishing roots near Donna’s childhood home.

Donna took pleasure in keeping her garden, spoiling her granddaughters, trying different foods and most importantly hosting Sunday family dinners.

People will remember Donna for her “thick” coffee, and good company. Blessed with the gift of gab and great wit, Donna was never short on words. She also lent a kind, attentive ear to those who wanted to be heard.

Guided by her playful spirit and humour, Donna embraced the title of “Baby Baba”, which started out as a simple inside joke among her children and grandchildren after seeing a young picture of her in the church basement. Donna was a member of the St. Nicholas Church choir, women’s league and a lifelong parishioner.

A special thank you to Father Daniel Wach OSBM for lending his spiritual guidance and support to Donna and our family during these difficult times. We are grateful to Dr. Fatoya and the medical staff that attended to Donna during her time of need.

Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. on Thursday February 29, 2024 at 10:00 am (CST). Basilian Fathers Daniel Wach OSBM & Isadore Dziadyk OSBM officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church or Cancer Care Manitoba
