It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John Lazar who peacefully passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024.

John leaves behind his wife of 56 years Angela and his three children, Christine, Eva and Michael (Janis). He also leaves behind his grandsons Jarrod (Jen) and Jacob, grand-daughter Ella and his great-grand-daughter, Luna also his brothers Walter (Sharron) and Harry and close family and friends.

John was predeceased by his mother Katherine and father James and his brothers Fred, Emil and Tom.

John’s life represented a great love and devotion to his family. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren whom he loved very much.

He grew up on the farm in Glenella, Manitoba. His passion for farming never left and it brought him much joy to work the fields and ride the farming equipment. His career was with CP Rail where he was a power engineer. Post retirement, he spent time with his family. His favorite hobby was assembling complex puzzles.

Rosary prayers will be held at St. John Cantius Catholic Church on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. followed by burial mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Ghost Cemetery.

John, may you rest in eternal peace. You will forever be in our hearts.
