OLGA KOSTIUK
1939-2024

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Olga Kostiuk at the age of 84 on February 3^rd, 2024, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Olga was born on September 10^th, 1939, in Winnipeg. She worked in data entry at Westfair Foods until her retirement.

Olga was predeceased by her parents, Doris (Boitson) and Eugene Kostiuk, her brother Larry, and her sister-in-law, Gertrude. She is survived by her two nephews, Christopher (Christie) and Derek (Pascale), along with many great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaela (Cody), Lucas, Benjamin, Emily, Tristan, William, and Gabrielle. Olga also has many cousins and friends who will also miss her deeply.

In her spare time, Olga enjoyed travelling, sports and spending time with friends. She was a fixture at all Blue Bomber games for many years and enjoyed playing in both bowling and curling leagues. Olga had enjoyed travelling with her friends and going on cruises. Some of her favourite trips included Barbados, Greece, and Egypt.

Many friends and family remember Olga for her sense of humour and great conversation. If you could not get her on the phone, you could find her with friends at a nearby McDonald’s or food court for coffee. Olga thoroughly enjoyed life and lived it as she wanted to.

A service will be held for Olga at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 23^rd, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Anyone who wants to contribute photo memories to a slideshow can send the files to kaelakostiuk@live.com.
