LOUIS KOLDY

Obituary of LOUIS HENRY KOLDY

With loving hearts, we share the sad news our Dad, Pop, Grampa & Great Gramps has passed away .
He recently celebrated his 91st birthday surrounded by loved ones creating a beautiful memory that will be cherished by his family.

Heartbroken are his daughter Louann (Bill) Heieie , his granddaughter Breanne (Jeremie) Talbot and his grandson Kristopher (Charlene) Heieie , his great grand children Liam, Gavin & Josianne. Lou was incredibly proud of his family and looked forward to any kind of celebration and family gatherings.

Also remembering him is his sister-in-law, Sue Bond along with nieces & nephews across Canada.
Lou was predeceased by his wife, June , whom were married for an amazing 67 years sharing many great memories together. From Hawaii, Mexico , going on cruises, bowling leagues, golfing together or just taking part in a family game of cards.

You may remember him from CNR where he was a Carman for 48 years OR playing hockey and baseball in his younger years OR at Rossmere & Selkirk golf courses ; his favourite pastime OR maybe at the East St.PaulCurling
rink in the winter OR sharpening skates at North Kildonan Community Club. Always very active and continued to be until recently. He could be seen doing his daily walks around the halls. Living at RiverRidge Retirement Residence gave him a lot of opportunities to participate in many activities , usually the life of the party – encouraging his friends get up and dance . Over the last 7 years he made wonderful friends and a few special friends . Thank you to all the wonderful staff at RiverRidge.

As per his wishes, a private family celebration of his life will be held over this Holiday Season , Cremation has taken place and internment to the family plot will be done at a later date .

In lieu of flowers : Memorial donations on his behalf can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Thanks Pop for all the amazing memories …….
We love you and will miss you so much !!!!
