Melissa Dawn Brown

Melissa Dawn Brown passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Health Sciences Centre with her family by her side.

Melissa was born on January 6, 1986, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Elsie Bannatyne and Allan Brown; her siblings, Kibet Siele, Chelsea Bannatyne, Chemutai Bannatyne, Calvin Brown, Andrew Brown, Errol Brown; children, Kimoni Brown, Amir Brown, and Malik Brown.

Melissa was a loving mother, sister, auntie, daughter, niece, and an amazing chef and owner of Brownee's Urban Bistro. She was passionate about helping others especially Indigenous youth in the community. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Melissa’s life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
