Obituary of VICTOR ROY SCHWAKIN

Passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 at Jocelyn House Hospice, at the age of 69 years.

Victor is lovingly remembered by his son, David (Eastlyn); grandchildren Alex and Lillia; nieces, Melissa Haywood and Mona O’Neill; Melissa’s daughter Ashley Garand, and Mona’s sons Kyle Gibson, Kolby Gibson and Ryan O’Neill.

He was predeceased by his parents Ann Schwakin (Baba) and Alex Schwakin (Dyet); sister, Nina Hill; nephew, Rickey Hill; and great-nephew, Kody Haywood

Victor was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He went to Sisler High School. In December of 1976 Victor married Brenda and was married for 27 years. He worked as a roofer for 40 years.

Victor worked with aquarium, where he bred and raised fish; he enjoyed reading comic books and listening to music.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at 2:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 27, 2024. More details to follow.
