Obituary of DAWN ROSE MARIE JAMES GREEN

DAWN ROSE MARIE GREEN JAMES passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Riverview Health Facility, Osbourne, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, at the age 0f 51 years.

She was predeceased by brother Rupert. Dawn is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lassel James, children, Whitney James Henry and son-in-law Sheldon Henry of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Shana-Kaye and Jenel James of Winnipeg, Manitoba; grandchildren, Caleb Henry and Gabriel Brown.  Dawn leaves parents, Hyacinth and Alvin Green and mother-in-law, Frederica Berbick. 

She is survived also by her brother, Devon, sisters, Valerie, Joan, Sharon, Donna, Kharel, Trudi-Ann; Nieces, Tameika, Oneika, Sashauna, Sonique, Abigail, Nadeja; Nephews, Victor (Jnr), Andre, Donte, Adriel, Simon; Aunt, Norma Bruce, uncles, Surten, Lloyd, Neville, Rudolph, Denzel, Wilton and a host of grand nieces and cousins.

Dawn Rose Marie Green was born and raised in Bog Walk, St. Catherine, Jamaica, W.I. She was the seventh child of Hyacinth and Alvin Green. She attended the Linstead All-age and the Dinthill Technical High School where she later met and married Lassel James. Dawn was a talented and classy lady who would turn a dilapidated house into a beautiful masterpiece; and arranged unusual colors, miscellaneous pieces (of anything) into magnificent household arts that piqued the interest of everyone who crossed her path.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Anointing Christian Fellowship Church at 1425 Manitoba Avenue, Winnipeg MB R2X 0L3, Canada.

Interment will be followed at Chapel Lawn, The Garden of Prayer, 4000 Portage Avenue at 2:30 p.m.
