RICHARD KOSTYCZ

January 2, 1957 – September 24, 2023

 

It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing of our beloved brother, uncle, friend, Richard Kostycz on September 24, 2023 to cancer at Concordia Hospital.

Richard was born January 2, 1957 in Posada, Jasliska, Poland. He immigrated with family to Canada in the spring of 1958.

 He graduated from University of Manitoba and received his accreditation of CGA. His passion for business had him accomplish a secondary degree receiving a stockbroker license. He truly enjoyed his work and his clientele till retirement.

He was predeceased by his parents, Sofia and Marion Kostycz; grandparents, Maria, and Walter Kostycz; aunt and uncle Wladyslawa, and Frank Bilicki.

To mourn his loss, brother Walter (Kathy) Kostycz with their children Jennifer (Joey) Bellino, Michelle (Tommy) Magdic and Richard (Leslie) Kostycz; sister Romalda (Arnie) Wildeman with daughters Gina Wildeman, Adela Wildeman (partner Randy Griffin);   Richard’s partner, Kerri Lang with her children, Shawn and Meagan Lang, as well many family members, cousins and numerous friends.
In Poland, he leaves aunties, Felicja Madij, Henryka Zawada and family, and in Canada, auntie Cecilia Farbaniec and family.

Richard was a master of conversation. He made you feel like you were the only one in the room, his gift of conversation and laughter was enjoyed by many.  His entrepreneurial spirit and laughter will live in our hearts forever. You will be greatly missed by many.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 9:00 a.m., Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Ave.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to Manitoba Animal Alliance.
