Obituary of WALLACE MURRAY BRUCE

“The Life That I Have”

The life that I have

Is all that I have,

Is Yours

The love that I have

Of the life that I have

Is Yours and yours, and yours.

A Sleep I shall have

A rest I shall have

Yet death will be but a pause,

For the peace of my years

In the long green grass.

Will be yours and yours, and yours.

WALLACE MURRAY BRUCE, July 6, 1957 August, 2, 2023

While Wallace never married, he lived a full life, a life of joyful memories we share. On all occasions greeted you with a gentle smile. Consistently left a positive first impression from being approachable and friendly, easily developed lifelong friendships and was a sweetheart to the ladies. A likeable and humble man who believed that the person in front of you is inherently good and doing the best they can. Wallace brought warmth and comfort into our hearts. He was a provider and a diligent worker. He loved to play bingo, he was a movie critic, and enjoyed NHL hockey game night.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff at Health Sciences Centre in making Wallace’s stay comfortable and so much more pleasant. Thank you to the amazing staff at the Palliative Care unit at Riverview Health Centre for your commitment, hard work, and attentiveness gracefully in his final days. The family would like to thank the Chief and Council of Lake St. Martin First Nation for all their support during the family’s challenging time.
