Obituary of MICHAEL FRANK ZARODA

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Micheal Zaroda, beloved Father, grandfather, and friend on August 5th, 2023, peacefully in his home at the age of 76 years.

He leaves to mourn his children Danny and Lisa, grandchild Alia, son in-law Yassine, former wife and mother of his children, Anna, niece Carla and nephew Jay. He was predeceased by his mother Renee, father Frank and brother Danny.

He will also be sadly missed by many relatives and friends.

Mike's first career was in photography which led him to an appreciation for artwork, but his love for music was even stronger, where he pursued a career as a disc jockey. Mike’s passion for music began in his early teens and this led him to a life long career in the   industry.  As early as 1968, his nickname became known as "Mr. Music".  Mike had a reputation for providing excellent sound quality and his innovative knowledge of music and musical arts to his profession, resulting in him becoming a leader in the Winnipeg DJ industry.  He took pride in his many life experiences and strived to provide the very best throughout his career.

Mike, along with his son, Danny, cultivated a successful business, Zaroda Music Services and Consultants. When asked the secret to his success, he would humbly reply, “I just play good music!”

He also had a love for nature, and would often spend his free time with his family and friends enjoying the outdoors and fishing.

Family was incredibly important to Mike. He was a beloved father, grandfather, who was full of life. A kind, humorous and generous man to all who were lucky enough to call him a friend.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the medical professionals and Cropo Funeral Chapel for all their care and support.

Those who knew Mike, knew how many friends he had, personally and professionally. In honour of his life, and as a last farewell, there will be a Go Fund Me Page created in the future to help cover the cost of a "Celebration of Life" which will be held next summer. More details to follow.
