Obituary of MACA (MARIJA) MRAOVIC

MACA (MARIJA) MRAOVIC October 3rd 1935- March 7th 2013 On March 7th, surrounded by her loving family, Maca Mraovic passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Maca passed away at the age of 77. She is survived by daughters: Mara (Nikola), Anka (Guy), and son Dusan (Ljiljana), grandchildren: Gordana, Dragan, Miroslav, Tiana, Brendan, Sasha, Mikhal, great grandchildren: Marija, Mirjana, Maksim, and Aleksej. Maca was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years Milan. Maca was born in Kozarac, Yugoslavia in 1935 to Dusan and Milica Mraovic. With her three children, she followed her husband to Winnipeg in 1971, in search of a better life for their family. Maca was a loving, caring, and hardworking wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loved ones. Over the years she helped raise three generations of healthy, loving, and successful children. Despite the difficult challenges that she faced throughout her life, our beloved Mama and Baba has left a legacy of strength, determination, and courage that will live on from her memory. Prayers will be held on Sunday, March 10th, at 7:00pm, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Services will be held at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 580 Talbot Ave, at 10:00am, Monday, March 11th. After the funeral service interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
