JOHN MATIAS

Peacefully on December 5, 2011 at Grace Hospital, our beloved father and grandfather passed away at the age of 85.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Helga (Bob), Robert (Maggie), Linda (Humberto) and granddaughters Britni and Isabella. He was predeceased by his wife Eugenie in 1972 and his long time companion Grace in 2004.

Dad lived a very quiet, private life at his home for 51 years. His greatest pleasure was puttering in his garden, watching "Wheel of Fortune" and simply spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Our family would like to thank Dr. April Boyd of HSC and the ICU team and staff, Dr. Francisco Cordova and staff of St. Boniface Hospital, and Dr. Pinton, Dr. Maiti and Unit 4S staff of Grace Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 9th, 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to a charity of choice
