Obituary of FERNANDA ESTEVES

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fernanda Esteves on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the age of 89.

Fernanda was predeceased by her husband Sebastiao, her parents Antonio and Izaura, brothers Manuel, Antonio and her sister Alice. 

Fernanda will be dearly missed by her son Julio (Josie), son Joe (Samantha), daughter Maggie (Augusto), her grandchildren Jozefa, Michayla, Diogo, Peter, Keeyanah, Jherzi and her great granddaughter Aliciana. She also leaves to mourn her brother Julio, sisters Adelina and Doris in Portugal. As well as her brother-in law Julio (Aida) and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Winnipeg and Portugal.                                                                                                                                                                                         

Fernanda was born May 26, 1934 in Sapardos, Villa Nova de Cerveira, Portugal.

Fernanda enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

We would like to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for the compassion and care provided.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street N.  Entombment will take place at Assumption Chapel Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Avenue.

 In lieu of flowers, donations in Fernanda’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
