HALINA FRACZ

October 6, 1926 – June 17, 2023

Beloved mother of Richard (Grace), grandmother to Inga (Bryan) and Arthur (Casie), great-grandmother to Cayden, Cara, and Katerina and spouse of the late Marcin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17th at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 96.

Halina was born October 6th, 1926 in Warsaw, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1971. She worked as an Editor at the Polish Press (Czas) and enjoyed cooking, baking and time with her family.

In the last few years, Halina resided at the Kildonan Long Term Care Home, where she was close to her family and friends. We would like to thank all the staff at the care home, with special thanks to Czeslawa, who provided special attention to Halina communicating with her in Polish.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30th at 10am at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Ave, Winnipeg, MB. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Celebration of Life reception will take place afterwards at Cropo Funeral Chapel,1442 Main St. at 12:30 p.m.
