Obituary of GEORGE JOSEPH DESROSIERS
GEORGE JOSEPH DESROSIERS
November 17, 1946 – June 18, 2023
Surrounded by family, George passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2023.
He leaves to mourn his wife Terry of nearly 56 years; his beautiful children, Danine, Jason and Jared (Danielle) and grandchildren Journee (Daniel), Jordynne, Braeleigh, Aubrie, Keirra, Jude, Ella, Aurora, Olivia and great grandsons Indie and Atlas. His very loving and supportive siblings; Tina (Brian), Angela (Murray), Marco (Heidi) and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was incredibly proud of them all.
George was an electrician for 40 plus years, working in many different places. He was very good at building and repairing and was always willing to help out anyone who asked. He especially enjoyed helping his children with their many home renovations.
He was quiet by nature and a man of few words but had a dry and wicked sense of humor . Even in the hospital, he often had the nurses smiling and laughing. Sometimes it was at Terry's expense but he did love to tease.
George was a very enthusiastic supporter of Chemo Savvy, spraying his hair pink for the dragon boat festivals and chanting loudly with the other supporters.
George and Terry would have been married 56 years on July 1st, Canada Day. They used to go to The Forks and George would say he gave Terry fireworks for their anniversary and everybody else came along.
He was very loved and respected, not just by family, but by a wonderful circle of friends and neighbours who have shown such support throughout this very difficult journey. Our family extends our very heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you.
George was an avid hunter and had a love for nature and of course his beloved moose. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Nature Conservancy of Canada

At George’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
I'll miss you always, I'll love you forever, my sweetheart you always will be.
