WAYNE ROBERT THOMAS

July 19, 1962 – May 14, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Wayne Robert Thomas at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 60 years.

He was predeceased by his mother Joan, grandparents and nephew Richard.

Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife Dianne, father Lionel, children, Jamie (Dale), Sarah (Michael) and Erin as well as his puppy Reece; grandchildren Rilynn, Thomas and Colton.

He also leaves his brothers Rick (Roxanne), Greg (Marie), Glen (Sharon), uncle Leonard Shaw as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Wayne was born in Winnipeg and met the love of his life, Dianne in 1982. Together they raised a beautiful daughter and numerous animals over the years. Wayne worked at Crown Pipeline where he met a lot of great friends. He would jokingly say he won’t see them on Monday because he was going to win the lottery! However, God had other plans. We will still keep playing those numbers, Dad.

Wayne was so proud of his grandchildren, and would spoil them immensely. He loved spending time in the summer in the pool and riding on white lightening. He was looking forward to retiring and tinkering around with sewing machines. We wish you had more time as you were the best Guapa. We will love you forever.

The family especially would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Emergency Department for everything.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Transcona Chapel 1800 Day Street.
