Obituary of ADAM JOSEPH SIATECKI

ADAM JOSEPH SIATECKI

Adam passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday April 8 at the Grace Hospital just shy of his 83rd birthday.

He was pre deceased by his father Joe, mother Stella, brothers Donald and Ron.

Adam is survived by his wife Irene of 59 years, daughters Janice (Mike) and Joanna (Cory), grandchildren Zachrey and Sydney. He also leaves behind his brother in law Patrick (Susan) sister in law Lorainne and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Adam was born and raised in Fraserwood, MB and attended school there until grade 6 when he then helped his parents with the family farm. He briefly worked for the Highways department along side his dad until beginning his job at Cowin Steel where he worked for 37 years. New Years Eve of 1963 was going to be the year life would change. He and his friends had made plans to go to a dance at the infamous 'crabby steves' hall a few miles from Fraserwood. Little did he know this is where he'd meet the love of his life and best friend. They married in 1964 and moved to Winnipeg and shortly after began their family. Dad retired at 61 and got to enjoy spending a lot more time with mom and all us kids. They enjoyed their outings to the casino, playing cards with friends and entertaining, but most of all just spending time with all his family and grandchildren whom he absolutely adored. His favourite times spent were listening to the Polka Party faithfully every week with mom and watching their game shows. Unfortunately dads health began to decline too early and after nearly 13 yrs of fighting the best he could, it was time to rest.

Dad you know how much we all loved you and we'll miss you every day. You will be in our hearts forever.

Special thanks to dad's homecare workers for all their care and compassion as well as the staff at the Grace Hospital. Also to my sister Joanna for always being there at a drop of a hat to make sure both dad and mom were always taken care of. Lastly to mom for everything thing you did for dad over the years. He knows you were truly his Angel.

Rest in peace dad , till we all meet again. Love you.
