Obituary of DENNIS SHYMKIW

DENNIS SHYMKIW MAY 9, 1943 - FEBRUARY 18, 2013 It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the passing of Dennis Shymkiw on February 18, 2013. Dennis is survived by his wife Joan, son Robert, daughter Jaylene and grandchildren Ashley (Scott), Nicholas, Brittany, Allyssa, Carly as well as his brother Eugene (Sally) and extended family and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his daughter Sheryl, sister Margaret and parents John and Anne. Dennis enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Leisure Falls, as well as countless hours in his garden. He took great pride and joy in his numerous tropical fish tanks and never missed an opportunity to show off his beautiful fish. We would like to give a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the HSC along with his dedicated homecare professionals for their wonderful care and support. As per his wishes there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February 23, 2013 at 1:00-4:00 p.m. at South Transcona Community Center, 124 Borden Ave, Winnipeg, MB. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
