LAURA FURTADO (nee TEIXEIRA)
August 31, 1924 – February 26, 2023
It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Laura Furtado (nee Teixeira), on February 26, 2023.
Laura was predeceased by her husband Jose, her mother and father, 2 sisters and her brother.
She leaves to mourn her children Jose (Odette), Maria (Henry), Juvenal (Isabel), Rosa (Nevio), Yvonne (Manuel), Mario, Leonor (Gordon), and Rick (Filomena). As well as grandchildren Nicole, Laurie, Jessica, Nicholas, Daniel, Damien, Joel, Michelle, Ryan (predeceased), Dustin and Rebecca.
Also left to mourn are Laura’s great-grandchildren, Jakob, Olivia, Sophia, Jackson, Tripp, Luma and Julien.
Laura was a homemaker, and loved to be surrounded by family and loved to make Sunday supper for her family. She was an avid crocheter, and enjoyed attending at the Acorean Cultural Centre. Laura took great pride in her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank Holy Family Home and Dr. Audrea Babick for the care and compassion they showed our mother.
A private family service will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Home.
