Obituary of GRANVILLE KENNETH SHELDON
It is with heavy hearts we say good bye to our father and husband Granville Kenneth Sheldon.
Dad had a dream growing up in Cape Town he would leave to a country where he would prosper with no judgement. At the age of 14 our father quit school taking on the responsibility of supporting the family of 5 kids. In the late 60’s he went against all odds immigrating his young family to Canada. For 2 years in Thunder Bay our father would commute 6 hours to work at the Griffith Mine staying at the bunkhouse all week long. Moving his family to Ear Falls continuing to work at the mine he went on to purchase and operate a clothing store that serviced the surrounding areas.
As life continued on dad went on to sell insurance continuing his life in Winnipeg where he met his beloved Engracia ballroom dancing. They danced their way to Portugal for over a decade.
We will always remember you for your relentless work ethic, a confidence like no other undying loyalty to your family
Your legacy will continue for generations to come. Thank you for bringing us to Canada we will never forget.
