Obituary of TODD ERNEST ROBERT
Todd Ernest Robert
November 9, 1967 – February 21, 2023
“Thanks for the goodies.”
“Thanks for all.”
There are many heavy hearts with the unforeseen passing of a son, brother (brother-in-law), uncle (great-uncle) and good friend.
A true Slurpee Sippin’, Proline Pickin’ Transcona guy to the core!
When not bragging about his nephew, “Timmy Pops”, this proudest of uncles was happiest when he was working at his painting both on the job and for his family/friends. Yes, painting he most certainly did for well over a 30-year span. He loved to bend an ear and tell you of the projects he worked on throughout this City and various Provinces. Most recently within the walls of HSC and outside The Central Hotel.
Besides his passion for painting, Todd kept it simple. A fresh bag of Doritos during the game; a decorated Christmas tree during the holidays; a little sour cream on his borscht; a baited fishing pole propped up on shore and car windows rolled all the way down on a warm day!
Truth be told, his close circle knew him to be other than what you will find written here (endless knowledge on history, news, sports and movies) (cats … oh those cats). His close circle knew him to be someone they could depend on for help, without question, any time -- day or night. His close circle will hold on to the laughs in their hearts and know nothing more needs to be said.
On Friday, March 3rd there will be a graveside service held at Transcona Cemetery 5041 Dugald Road for 1:00 pm. At 2:00 pm friends and family are most welcome to a few nibbles and coffee at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1800 Day Street.
Luke 6:42
How can you say to your bother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye?
We shall miss you … our old soul “Toddy” … forever and a day …
“Bingo!”
