It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Urbain Lafreniere who passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family. His deep love for his family and his steadfast faith was maintained till the end.

Born in 1942, Joseph grew up in the small town of St. Laurent where he developed a love for music and a strong sense of family.

Joseph worked in the trades where he developed a strong work ethic which helped him open his own business. He was known for his dedication to his customers.

In his spare time, Joseph enjoyed fishing and hunting, but he loved playing his guitar and singing. He was a devoted husband, a loving father to his children and Pepere to his grandchildren and their families.

He is predeceased by his father Jean and mother Marie, his sons Michael and Gary, and brothers Allan, Alex and Rheal.

Joseph leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years Pamela, mother-in-law Rose, sons Richard, Roger, Randy (Margaret), Kelvin (Sheri), and daughter Angie, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a proud brother to Adrian, Anita (Warren), Lou, Yvette, Emily, Claire, and Lawrence.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Dialysis Unit of Seven Oaks Hospital, the home care staff, doctors, nurses and healthcare aides who gave such amazing care.
