MARY CHUCHMUCH

Obituary of MARY CHUCHMUCH

MARY CHUCHMUCH It is with heavy but grateful hearts that we, the family, announce that on February 11, 2013 God came to take our Mother, Baba and Sister into his loving arms where she will be safe and pain free till we meet again. Mary was born, the eldest of six children, on August 28, 1913, in Seech MB, to Peter and Tacia Nowosad. At the young age of 13, Mary was sent out to work at the Tolton farm in Oak Lake, MB over 100 miles away from her family. This started a long and hard working career in housekeeping and childcare, which she would continue to do for years throughout her life to help financially subsidize, at first, her Mother and Father, and later to help her husband Mathew support their own family. Mary married Mathew Chuchmuch of Angusville, MB on Oct 28, 1934. Mary and Matt farmed in the Angusville area for years and it was here that they were blessed with two sons Larrie Chuchmach(1941) and Dennis (1950). In 1967, Matt and Mary sold the farm and moved to Winnipeg to start a new life, where they both resided until their deaths. Mary was predeceased by her Mother, Father, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She was also predeceased by her husband Matt in 1987. She is survived by one sister, Anne, of Port Alberni, BC. She is also survived by her son Larrie (Pat) of Winnipeg, along with their children, Loring (Tina, and their children Cole and Julia), Nicole (Mike and their children Noah and Emma) as well as her son Dennis (Linda) of Oak Lake and Dennis’ children Sheri and Ryan, along with their mother Susan. Mom spent her whole life caring and giving, putting her needs last, and asking for nothing in return. She was a first class Lady, Mother and Wife. A true example of what God expects us to be to one another. She was greatly loved, cherished and respected and will truly be missed by all. The family would like to take this time to show our appreciation and give a heartfelt "Thank You" to the Calvary Place Personal Care Home, located on Erin St., for the wonderful care and compassion that was given to our Mother all during her stay with them. You have exceeded all expectations in the field of care giving that was given to our precious Mother. God Bless each and every one of you. Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at St Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church on 590 Alverstone St. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Thank You The Family
