Obituary of JACINTA MARIA NOGA
JACINTA MARIA NOGA
January 30, 1959-December 5, 2022
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, Jacinta (Cinta) NOGA (nee WIEWEL) at age 63. She passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Middlechurch Home, surrounded by her children and family with outpouring love.
Jacinta will live on through her husband, Tadeusz “Ted”; three children, Alexa, Noah and Liam; brothers, Tony (Josephine), Rudy (Vicky), Steve (Carol), Michael (Sherry) and David; sisters, Mary Anne (Greg), Irene (Pat); Brother-in-Law, Walter Noga; and several nieces, nephews,“additional” children, Jillian and Eric; and the Wiewel/Bannenberg family members in the Netherlands. Jacinta is predeceased by her parents, Maria and Antonius Wiewel; parents-in-law, Augustyn and Barbara Noga; and her sister-in-law and friend Karen Noga.
Jacinta was born in Brandon, Manitoba and spent her youth growing up in Pinawa and Steinbach, Manitoba. Her parents had immigrated from the Netherlands a few years prior to her birth. Eventually, Jacinta settled in Winnipeg, MB, where she met the love of her life and had three children. Jacinta worked as Charge Tech in Hematology at St. Boniface Hospital for 38 years and spent the last couple years working as a health care aide at the Grace Hospital.
Jacinta was very talented, she loved to craft, sew and knit. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She spent many years volunteering with several different organizations, such as, Polish Combatants Association Branch #13, Polish School of Dance SPK Iskry, and the Polish Pavilion - VIP Chairperson. Not even being of Polish heritage herself, she dedicated hours of her life to the Polish community, especially sewing and repairing costumes for SPK Iskry. She ensured her children knew the importance of knowing your family roots and preserving their heritage.
Jacinta was known for her kind spirit and generous heart. She devoted her life to her family and children, having never missed a hockey game or dance recital. They truly were her pride and joy and she always made it known to those around her. We fondly remember her radiant smile, joyful presence and warm hugs. She also instilled her passion for travel and exploring the world to her children; her favourite vacations were to road trips to the mountains and the family trip to Holland and Poland in 2008.
In 2020, Jacinta was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, which required her to move into Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg in June 2022. The family wishes to extend their deepest and sincere appreciation to the staff at Middlechurch Home, for the wonderful care, compassion and hospitality they provided Jacinta. Special thanks to nurse Tracy, Brandy, and all the staff of N2. As well as, special cousin Cecile, who made the trip from Holland to be with mom and support family during this difficult time.
